Turkey Day is just around the corner—can you believe it? As the holiday season approaches, many service members, veterans, and their families are starting to think about how they’d like to spend the day and what support might make the season a little easier.

Several organizations are ready to help with free holiday meals, gifts for kids, grocery support, and other practical resources. Registration is required and supplies are limited, so planning ahead is the best way to take advantage of what’s available.

Here’s a roundup of military specific resources that are ready to help:

Operation Homefront – Holiday Meals for Military®
Provides military families with full holiday meal kits that include everything needed to prepare a traditional holiday meal. The program also puts on a holiday toy drive. To register for these (or for other Operation Homefront programs), create a MyOperationHomefront account.
