As Suicide Awareness Month unfolds this September, Vets4Warriors stands at the forefront of providing 24/7 peer support to service members, veterans, and their families. With over 978,000 calls answered, we’re nearing a historic milestone of 1 million connections, each one a lifeline to someone navigating challenges.

Our veteran-led peer support specialists provide empathetic, confidential guidance, catching those in need before crises escalate. Our peers assist callers navigating various services, including support with referrals and enrollment in programs, while offering a reliable resource tailored to individual needs. When appropriate, we connect callers to the Veterans Crisis Line for immediate crisis support. Operating independently, Vets4Warriors ensures a trusted, personalized approach to care.

Major General (Ret.) Mark Graham, Executive Director of Vets4Warriors and Gold Star father, recently shared on American Legion’s Tango Alpha Lima podcast how his son Kevin’s 2003 suicide inspired his mission. “One phone call can make a difference,” Graham said, emphasizing Vets4Warriors’ role as a lifeline.

Through partnerships with organizations like Stop Soldier Suicide (ROGER), Wounded Warrior Project, Face the Fight, and more, Vets4Warriors leads a collaborative effort to deliver comprehensive mental health coverage across the military and veteran community.
