This award is presented annually by Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services to recognize outstanding organizations committed to the well-being of veterans and their families. Previous recipients include Prudential, PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc., the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the Utility Workers Union of America, UBS Financial Services, iHeart Media, and Hope for the Warriors.
Retired U.S. Army Major General Mark Graham accepted the award on behalf of everyone at Vets4Warriors at an event on December 10th, 2024, and thanked the Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services and the Freedman Family for this tremendously incredible honor. He went on express how he and the V4W team continue to greatly appreciate the continued collaboration with the Dixon Center team and so many others. And to acknowledge how the complementary work of both organizations is essential for those we continue to serve each day.
This award is named in honor of philanthropists and business leaders Eugene and Ruth Freedman. The couple’s lifetime of philanthropy has made a positive difference in the lives of untold numbers of veterans across the country.
