The items in this issue have all been selected based on what is most impacting our military community right now; that will help us create a stronger a connection with you, and that will help you create stronger, more genuine, and productive connections with your own growing local military community.

Vets4Warriors is Celebrating 10 Years
On December 13th Vets4Warriors will celebrate 10 years of providing 24/7 peer support to service members, veterans, their families, and caregivers. Staffed by veterans of all branches, from the Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts and supported by licensed clinicians, Vets4Warriors is the leading national peer support and resource connection network.
Thank you for assisting us in our mission! Our ambassadors play a pivotal role in spreading the word that Vets4Warriors is here to help. The work you’ve done has helped us reach this milestone. The work you’ll do will allow us to continue providing support to our veterans, service members, their families and caregivers.

VA zeroes in on gun safety as a way to reduce veteran suicides
Roughly 70 percent of veteran suicide deaths in 2019 involved a firearm
Thousands of caregivers may lose monthly stipends under new VA review
Nearly 20,000 caregivers of injured veterans will have their cases re-examined to see if they still qualify for the benefit
Veterans benefits could see a big cost-of-living boost later this year
Outside groups estimate the increase could be more than 6.0 percent for the first time in decades.

I volunteer to get the needed information out to our Veterans who may need the assistance. I have lost friends from their battles after returning home. I have lost first responder friends from the battles where they didn’t continue to reach out after responding to those calls that continued to come back to them.
