Brian Gillespie

Brian Gillespie was born and raised in Jersey City NJ to a law enforcement and military family. After graduating from high school in 1982, Brian joined the United States Marine Corps and was assigned as a Tank Crewman with C Co 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division in Camp Pendleton CA. During that time, he as deployed on a Westpac in January 1984, just 3 months after the Beirut barracks bombing. In 1986, now a Corporal and assigned as the Company Training Officer, he deployed again with C Co on their Unit Deployment to Mount Fuji, Japan and Okinawa, Japan. After this deployment, he received an honorable Discharge and returned to NJ.

Brian is a retired Police Officer from the Manasquan Police Department. During his tenure, he was assigned to Patrol, the Detective Bureau and the Community Policing Unit. Brian retired from the Manasquan Police Department in May 2010.

In March 2016, Brian started working at Vets 4 Warriors as a Peer Support Specialist on the 3PM-11PM shift. In November 2016, Brian was promoted to his current position as a Supervising Mental Health Specialist, assigned to the evening shift.
